i'm back from six months at sea, spent aboard the fine ships alaskan explorer and president polk. ports of call with the explorer were valdez, alaska; cherry point, wa; anacortes, wa; long beach, ca; and port angeles, wa. on the polk, we called in vancouver, canada; dutch harbor, alaska; yokohama, japan; kaohsiung, taiwan; chiwan, china; laem chabang, thailand; singapore; yantian, china; and hong kong. it was awesome. i got to see so many neat places: i went to a buddhist monastery in taiwan, held a baby tiger in thailand, had a singapore sling in singapore, and did tea ceremony in hong kong. really a great way to see the world.

but now i'm back, and i'm headed back for my senior year at kings point. i'm a midshipman lieutenant commander, one of the top eight in the regiment, and i'll be running the honor board. so it's going to be a busy year. but a good one, i hope.
